The First Blog

A first blog is a daunting task, at least for someone like me. This is the first time many people will be introduced to "Laura, the blogger". They've known me as "Laura, the friend" or "Laura, the writer of fiction", but not as someone who can say what's on her mind in a medium that can reach outside of their world. This is me laid bare; you may think you know me, but I bet many of you were thrown by even the subtext of the blog title. While many of you are aware that I have become a vegetarian, very few know that for the past ten years I have been following the path of the Goddess and practicing Witchcraft. What other surprises do I have in store for you?

This is where I will praise people who live honorably and possibly harp on people who don't. This is where I can tell you how wonderful homeschooling is and what delicious new vegetarian recipes I've discovered. This is also where I can rant when things don't go as planned. I can direct you to my website for my latest work of fiction or to other websites I think are well worth your time. Actually, when you think about it, a blog is an awesome responsibility. People may one day look to my blog for advice, as I have looked to other bloggers for advice on homeschooling or on raising vegetarian children. You just never know when your words will have a significant impact on someone's life.
